Arizona M.A.S.H. (pilot project)
The Arizona M.A.S.H. which stands for Multiple Avenues for Successful Healthcare is a pilot project to introduce the many health industry careers to rural high school students. This project is an educational program to help rural students determine if a career in the health field is a career they would like to pursue. The basic concept is if we are going to change rural health care, we are going to have to stop trying to convince the doctors to love rural Arizona and convince people who love rural to become doctors, nurses, x-ray technicians, physical therapists and/or one of the many other healthcare professions. This project is collaboration between the AZRDC, the Northern Cochise County Hospital, Willcox Against Substance Abuse (WASA) and the Willcox Public School District.
